Gregory Brittingham, M.A., has more than 20 years experience in community and organizational planning and development. He has facilitated focus groups, strategic planning sessions and public input sessions for governors’ task forces, state agencies, regional coalitions, nonprofit organizations and other groups.

After serving as a presenter a number of times for the Commonwealth Management Institute, Greg joined VCU’s PMG in November 2001. He provides professional planning and group facilitation services to center customers in addition to delivering training to CMI and other program participants.

Greg helps groups develop creative, insightful and practical strategies that lead them to more successful outcomes during times of normalcy as well as during times of significant change. 

In addition to his extensive work in state and local government, Greg has also served as the chair for the International Association of Facilitators, a professional organization with members in 56 different countries. He has developed and implemented award-winning, consensus-based planning techniques and has delivered numerous presentations and training programs for national and international audiences.

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology, James Madison University.
  • Certifications in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
