Supervisory programs FAQs

As your session approaches, PMG wants to share the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the PMG’s supervisory programs.

Do I need to arrive the day before training begins?

We will begin promptly at 9 a.m. each day. You’ll need to weigh the distance and traffic from your destination to determine if you need to stay overnight at a local hotel to be on time. It’s your decision.

What is the daily schedule?

Full days will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and end by 5 p.m. and half days will end by 1 p.m. A light continental breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch will be provided on site.

Will the evenings be free?

No activities are planned for the evenings. Occasionally, a classmate invites the group to meet at a local spot for dinner, but this is optional.

What is the dress code?

Business casual is the most prominent attire during the day — something you would wear to the office on a “dress-down Friday.” Please wear layers to ensure your comfort in the training room. It’s always a challenge to achieve a perfect room temperature.

What is the protocol for cell phones, pagers, etc.?

Speakers and participants appreciate your attending to business during regularly scheduled breaks. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off or to an inaudible ring. Tell your office that you will have a break in the morning and in the afternoon. Also, during lunch, participants often have time to make calls to the office or review voicemail.

What do I need to do before the session?

Review the class checklist for your specific program. Please respond or return items by the due dates indicated.

Reminder: Don’t forget to submit a brief biographical sketch. This will go into each participant’s notebook.
