Being the “best” leader
When you think of your favorite “boss,” what qualities come to mind? This workshop focuses on identifying the interpersonal skills needed to build and sustain effective boss-employee relationships. Using the “Best Boss Inventory,” participants will uncover strengths and opportunities for improvement related to six categories of behavior, as well as develop strategies to enhance skills.
Situational leadership
Ever wonder why one manager is able to attain better results from staff than another? This session focuses on understanding how to shift one’s leadership style to match the needs of the individual. Time and frustration are often lessened once a manager applies the right amount of direction and support to each staff member.
Supervisor roles and responsibilities
Being a supervisor means that you are responsible for accomplishing the work of the organization through a group of people who may or may not be motivated to follow your lead. Wouldn’t it be helpful to know what potential challenges you may face as a supervisor, or to know where a breakdown may be occurring? Through an assessment and practical applications, new or aspiring supervisors learn how to supervise successfully.
Effective time management
Time management is a process of planning, prioritizing and organizing your work and — if you’re a supervisor — the work of others. It’s about creating time to get things done when we often struggle to maintain a work/life balance. This session incorporates today’s best practices along with what fits your work environment.
Juggling multiple priorities
While there’s never enough time, there’s always time for the important things. So how do we determine what to do now versus what to do later? This workshop addresses these issues in relationship to your time challenges with setting short- and long-range priorities.
Strengths finder
We live in a world that revolves around fixing our weaknesses. People have more potential for growth and contribution when they invest energy in developing their strengths instead of correcting their deficiencies.
